Accommodation
The interior design of the hotel is a fusion of traditional and contemporary styles, where the original features of the 18th century Redcastle Estate House blends seamlessly into the newly re-modelled modern hotel. Ninety-three luxury guest rooms, including 21 deluxe suites and the Pennsylvania suite, all boast magnificent sea or golf course views. Each room has been tastefully designed to embrace the contemporary requirements of discerning guests and yet remains in harmony with the rich tradition and history synonymous with the hotel.
Restaurant & Bar
Waters Edge
Look forward to an enjoyable dinning experience at the hotel's beautiful Waters Edge Restaurant. While taking in the breathtaking views overlooking Lough Foyle, guests can choose from a sumptuous menu featuring the finest local seafood and fare accompanied by an extensive choice of wines from some of the world's top regions.
For starters, choose from seafood delicacies such as Oven Roast Crab Claws with salad of baby spinach with paprika and white wine sabayon or Baked Oysters with garlic and parmesan soufflé or Chicken and wild mushroom Rosti to start with. Follow perhaps with Herb Rack of Donegal Lamb on a bed of fine ratouilli and spicy couscous with rosemary jus or Oriental Crispy Duck or Roasted Medallions of crusted Cod with saffron risotto and white wine & parsley sabayon. Finish off with an exquisite dessert such as Poached Pear with Ginger Ice Cream on Lemon & Poppy Seed base.
Breakfast is served each morning in the Waters Edge Restaurant. Guests can get the day off to a good start with a satisfying breakfast watching the sun rise over Lough Foyle. Choose from a varied hot and cold buffet, accompanied by home baked breads, freshly brewed coffee & teas with a good choice of healthy options.
The Captains Bar
Comfortable lounges and patio terraces offer guests a chance to relax and unwind with a good book and the cosy surroundings of the Captains Bar is the perfect place for a pre-dinner drink, late nightcap or to meet new friends and enjoy our weekly entertainment.
A bistro menu is available in The Captains Bar daily from 1.00pm - 9.00pm and features a selection of appetizers, pastas, salads, gourmet sandwiches and desserts.
Leisure
Guests have complimentary use of the Thalasso Pool and Gym while staying at the Redcastle Hotel.
The unique heated saltwater Thalasso Pool equipped with under-water massage jets, air spas, massage seats, micro bubble loungers and waterfall and neck showers, all of which individually massage your body from head to toe.
In addition the fully equipped gymnasium, with cardiovascular and weight toning machines, will satisfy the most diligent fitness enthusiast.
C Spa
The Redcastle C Spa is located in a truly unique and beautiful setting and features 12 treatment rooms and a relaxation room, where you can relax and enjoy light refreshments or herbal tea, before or at the completion of your spa journey.
Unique to this spa is a magnificent heated ‘Thalasso Pool’, (which overlooks the beautiful Lough Foyle), which our spa guests can enjoy with our compliments. We offer a wide selection of relaxing and revitalizing treatments to suit both men and women, addressing the mind, body and spirit and at Redcastle we also offer a selection of special ‘Thalasso’ treatments. Choose from the warm water sprays of the ‘Vichy’ to the ‘Algotheraphy’ marine body polish which will leave your body feeling totally revitalized.
